that first foto is stunning. was the person who took the foto elevated, perhaps at the elevation level of the harris in flight? a few days ago on the way to see a current raptor documentary about Mongolians and hunting with eagles, an osprey flew about 10 feet above us while driving the freeway here in the phoenix area. she or he had a silver fish in her talons recently fished from the effluent fed restored riparian area in the old salt river channel, close to the salt river reservation. wish I had had a "go-pro" mounted on my vehicle to catch that sighting! t taylor in mesa, arizona
