Art: Light, Water, Whimsy, Life

Eugene Taube
(Finland, 1860-1913)
“Shore in moonlight.”
Oil on canvas, signed.
60×85 cm.

I love his take on the light.  A surfcaster with a big bass would be even better.

Video of the wave.

The pic is a still from the video. What caught my eye was the fractal pattern at the tip of the wave. The video shows it well.

The Great Wave off Kanagawa

The video reminded be of the waves in Japanese art. Life and art. Those Japanese guys didn’t miss much. There was annother image I saw that I wanted to use but I couldn’t find it. I settled for the most iconic image above.

Hans Dahl (Norwegian, 1849-1937)
In the middle of the Fiord
Oil on canvas 66 x 100 cm
A different view of water that is very pleasing as well. This painting is hilarious. Buddy is already soaking wet in frigid Nordic waters and wind and there she is dry and smiling. No doubt she is  there to sell paintings..

“Rhino” bridge pier street art by artist “Frankey” at Rozengracht in Jordaan, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

People find patterns in everything. I have seen that this sort of thing has been tied to intelligence multiple times.

As usual, open in new tabs to embiggen.
