A peregrine waiting way above the falconer waiting for the spell to break .. the falconer focused on the dogs ahead , locked on point. How far ahead are the partridge’s clamped in the shin high stubble ? The dogs not wanting to bust the birds too soon , the falconer barks a hushed whoah to slow their fizz and hold the electric crackle of anticipation. He takes a quick glance skyward vertically above , is he there..? Yes ! Bang on .. one more turn …. Any minute ….. NOW , get em up … with a rush a sprint forward the spell breaks , the partridge erupt… heading for where they know, at full speed …. Not enough … he’s on his way down wings over his back pumping full and strong to gain that impetus for the full closed tuck. He is coming . The rapier the javelin.
