Firefly’s Blue Ghost landed on the moon on March 2, the first private spacecraft to touch down upright and perform its entire mission. It kept taking pictures and collecting science data five hours into the lunar night before it died for lack of solar energy.

Nothing captures the fragility of our existence like a picture of earth floating in hostile, deadly space. We can’t comprehend the importance of the biosphere and we will suffer for it. Evolution has made us blind to truth as we squabble over our animal instincts.
Speaking of Firefly, I was reminded of this. No doubt, the inspiration for the company name since it was a beloved Sci-Fi series. I have seen it years ago and this is a good review of it.
