Interesting Idea

These two maps reveal a chilling pattern that has fascinated researchers, true-crime enthusiasts, and internet detectives for years. The top map highlights locations across the United States where people have vanished without a trace — cases with no bodies, no clues, and no explanations. Many of these disappearances occurred deep in forests, national parks, and remote wilderness areas where search teams found belongings, footprints, or campsites… but never the missing person themselves.
The bottom map shows something startling: the layout of America’s largest cave systems. When both maps are placed side by side, an eerie overlap appears. Many unexplained vanishings occur in areas that sit directly above or near major cave networks — vast underground systems stretching for miles beneath mountains, forests, and old settlement sites. While there is no confirmed connection, the visual similarity has fueled countless theories about hidden shafts, dangerous drop-offs, and the possibility that some victims may have unknowingly crossed paths with these massive subterranean structures.
An Interesting Idea but I am not sure I am on board. Correlation vs causation, etc.
