I don’t post much on physics even though it is a big interest of mine. I always figured this blog would have limited interest. However on seeing this Black Hole news I thought it was worthy.
When I started reading about Black Holes they were almost a fringe theory bordering on sci-fi. Now they are proven and everywhere in the universe. It is not a stretch to say we owe our lives to them since they drive a lot of cosmological processes.
Like so.
This new theory suggests they are related to dark energy which is a mystery as big as black holes used to be. If the theory holds up it may change everything we know about the universe.
The video and news item do not explain the theory well, at least, to me. Deep math is needed to really understand this stuff and even the geniuses struggle with it. Further down the road we may get simpler definitions for linear narrative types like you and I. LOL
