Brahmaea hearseyi
My friend, John Lenagan, and I have just returned from a 10-night stay at MCM Nature Discovery Villa, Fraser’s Hill, Malaysia. This was my best trip ever for the large and stunning Brahmaea hearseyi. We saw these nearly every night with up to two at a time. Most were in pristine condition, so they must have just emerged.
The weather was cool and foggy most of the time. It rained heavily on some of the days. This was ideal for moths and we had a very successful trip. We photographed hundreds of species.
