This shooter from Dubai has won a worlds championship with a SXS with custom rib. I belive he also was the man responsible for the big sporting clay shoots there. He was known for flying in on his private jet to many shoots. Wish I could meet him a great supporter of shooting. Buddy Walters
The user of this gun, whom I happen to know, used it to shoot Olympic Skeet at the highest international level. As you’re probably aware Olympic Skeet is shot from a much lower gun down position than FITASC sporting. The owner certainly had no problems mounting this gun swiftly and accurately from a “gun down” position. Peter Croft
Sheikh Saeed al Maktoum from the Dubai Emirate in the UAE. He had a good international shooting career competing in multiple Olympics. He didn’t win a World Championship but he did win the ISSF World Cup Final in 2011, beating the best shooters of that year to take the title. I’m pretty sure he was using a Perazzi OU to win that one.The thinking behind the SxS high rib skeet gun was to combine the natural hand/eye pointability of the SxS with the head up position of the high comb/rib giving optimum visibility of the target. That’s not Olympic Double Trap Gold medallist Sh.Ahmed bin Hasher. It’s another Dubai shooter Sh.Saeed Al Maktoum who shot in Olympic Skeet at multiple Olympics and won the ISSF World Cup Final in 2011 beating the very best shooters of that year.Incidentally Sh.Ahmed bin Hasher not only took Gold in the Double Trap event in the Athens Olympics but he finished 4th in the Trap event, missing out on a medal by a single target!
