Polly, our North American Badger, is all sugar and sass. She despises nail trims and makes her feelings very clear with dramatic huffs, hisses, and growls. But don’t be fooled—she’s all attitude and no bite. She’s never actually chomped down on Stephanie (even though we’re pretty sure she thinks about it every single time).Huge shoutout to Calvin for doing an amazing job restraining her—it’s basically like wrestling a very hairy, very angry mini bull. 💪 He’s got the strength and patience of a pro.And props to our tiny-but-mighty small dog nail trimmers for handling Polly’s giant claws like champs. Our usual heavy-duty clippers are still missing—probably hiding and hoping we forget about them. We keep up with Polly’s paw-dicures every 2 to 4 weeks, whether she likes it or not! I am surprised you can handle a badger like that. I am also suprised at how cute she looks.
Yikes. I wouldn’t try that.
For that matter, badgers have powerful musk glands and they stink.
