Her new Collected Poems will soon be available. I look forward to reading (and reviewing) them. Was there ever another first- rate poet who also trained animals professionally, had a degree in philosophy (she was at Yale with Howard Bloom) and whose writings still hearten us in our fight against such as PETA?

I still remember the first time I read Adam’s Task. An incredible book that I keep re-reading to remind myself to not be so human centric. I look forward to her book of poetry.
Though I admit when I went to hear her speak I kept remembering that quote that we should never know the authors who we so admire (and yes that is only close to the original which I think is on your webpage.
