First read it aged 14 while in the reform school. A truly inspirational book which put me 'on the road' to many other great books. I was years later that I learned about the method of it's writing. SBW
Believe it was a Paris Review interview where Malcolm Cowley said he helped edit the book multiple times despite the hype and myth surrounding Kerouac's methods.
