You have to wonder WHY such an obviously skilled artist chose such action for the center stage of this painting–unless of course he had some fond memories himself of time spent as a kid with a terrier and some rats! No doubt D. Brian Plummer would have liked to have this painting over his mantle(if he ever had a mantle….)….L.B.
