Meteorological autumn was the first of the month. I think it more accurately reflects the felt time of the seasons.
My friend sent out his invite for grouse camp last week. He said he is loaded with grouse just a mile from me but I haven’t seen any all summer. I am seeing woodcock daily but not grouse. Usually I see lots of grouse if the population is high.
