I always wondered whether it would be possible to use one of those small radio controlled cars to have proper lure *coursing* (as opposed to lure chasing) in places where actual coursing is illegal. For coursing I mean that the person controlling the lure can change direction based on what the dog is doing, forcing the dog to actually hunt by coursing, and not just chase an object going on a perfectly predictable path.

    Having said that, the example in the video looks very pathetic, and would not give a course to any dog.

    1. I would think an aerial drone would be a better option as it would have less friction and terrain to deal with. It might be possible to put a collar on the dogs with a signal to keep the drone just ahead of the dogs without it being caught. If programmed to avoid terrain and line of sight issues it likely would be a better choice than human controlled ones. It could even exhibit visual and scent cues to excite the dogs. This is likely possible now but $$$. Time will tell.
