Walter King Stone, The Log of the Sun: A Chronicle of Nature’s Year by William Beebe, 1906
I never heard of him but I really like his work. I picked up on him from the Beebe association. Steve is a big Beebe fan and listed his Pheasant Jungles book at number 32 in his book on books.
A bit of serendipity. I just flipped over to Pat Burns Terrierman blog and saw he had a post on pheasant species.
I like this one.
