Somewhat apropos: we were skiing last month at Schweitzer in far northern Idaho, and to my bemused delight we saw stickers on some lift towers reading “Ball Python” with a graphic of, indeed, Python regius. I assumed it was a funny name for some snowboarder gear company or weed grower or something, but Googling revealed that they are in fact a ball python breeder. Mixed feelings, even as a ball python owner.
