Catching up with Wilde

Jonathan Wilde illustrated Steve’s A Rage for Falcons. I always liked the line drawings he did for it. I did a little looking and he is still around and painting. There is not a lot online but what there is interesting to see.
Jon Wilde is a native of Southern Wisconsin and has been painting birds full time for 47 years. For 43 of those years he has been a licensed falconer. His work is exhibited in some of Wisconsin’s best gallery’s and is in numerous public and private collections.

I didn’t know he was a falconer. That explains why his drawings in A Rage for Falcons stood out.

I like the earth tones in the owl picture.
