I saw this on the last day of February and didn’t clue in to post it then when it was timely.
In any case, it is an example of the great H.T. Sheringham’s writing. He and several others are considered among the best of the English ones. It has been years since I read two of his best, An Angler’s Hours and An Open Creel.
The Medlar Press site reissues a lot of the old English classics and some new ones.
