I experienced it 20+ years ago in Dinosaur National Monument, hydroplaning a truck and trailer on mormon crickets as their brethren hopped in to feast on the corpses in our tire tracks. Commercial clients were not pleased at waves of crickets breaking over their inflatable kayaks in the whitewater. Good times!
