Sinomegaceros pachyosteus and other deer.

Extinct deer

The Sinomegaceros pachyosteus is a very peculiar species of deer. With impressive antlers, it lived during the Pleistocene in Asia. Signatustudio.com

I posted on  Deer, Extinct and Extant before and thought I had posted on Sinomegaceros but I guess not. In any case, it deserves mention as one crazy critter that if it were alive would drive people nuts. It has charismatic megafauna writ large. The links show a guy making figurines of them and others so I guess they still are an obsession.

The bush antlered deer, Eucladoceros dicranios, is probably the most beautiful extinct deer.

Steam punk whitetail made out of scrap metal!

As usual, open in new tabs to embiggen. Twice for small ones.
