Wow, according to the date of my last post it has been over seven years since last I graced this blog with my dulcimer words. Quite a lot has occurred in that time, and I’m skeptical if anyone even still reads blogs, including me. I can’t remember the last time I sat down and read an actual blog post.
If I’m honest, I’m not sure how often — if at all — I’ll post here (maybe every now and then if I want to feel nostalgic and write something I know no one will see…) but just in case there were a few diehard holdouts who still have the old mallard on their blog roll,
… leaves me wondering what I am doing. Does anyone read this blog?

I had reduced my blog reading for a while but have been back since reddit gave everyone the middle finger last summer.
Four plus Steve makes five. Yikes!
I’m still here, of course. There are probably a fair number of others as well who aren’t going to leave a comment. But yeah, it’s damned hard these days to lure people to a blog. The paradox is that people also seem fed up with social media and interactions there seem way down as well, but this isn’t resulting in any return to the old artisanal internet. The major search engines having gone to hell and burying noncommercial content is probably a big factor too.
