I skimmed some of it last night. Good up to date info on how nature is changing fast. Definitely, a downer for biophiles but it is context for the times.
One thing I remember was how endangered Puerto Rican parrots are being pressured by hawks. Puerto Rico has the highest red tailed hawk concentration in the world. I didn’t expect that. The mountains and wind there make hunting very effective for them and they nail many of the native parrots on the brink.
Also, the 2017 Hurricane Maria wiped out the last wild parrots that had their own parrot dialect. It was way more complex than human raised ones have. A sad loss. A physical presence of a species is less than it seems sometimes.
