Devils Tower Nesting

????Attention all climbers!????

Put down your guidebooks for a moment and listen up!
Starting tomorrow , May 30th, we will be enforcing a climbing closure due to nesting peregrine falcons. All routes on the North Face from Adrenaline Surfer to Daredevil Index will be closed until further notice.
We know you might’ve had your heart set on climbing Assembly Line and Broken Tree, or any of these other great routes, but there is plenty more to enjoy on the Tower! Please help us respect the nature around us by observing this closure. Thanks to closures like this one, the peregrine falcon was able to be removed from the endangered species list in 1999 after 29 years! We are lucky to be able to recreate in wild places and it is our responsibility to help keep them wild!
Photo: An informative flyer titled ‘Climbing Routes Closed for Nesting Falcons.’ The flyer includes a photo of the north face of the tower with a red line highlighting the closed areas. Text includes a list of closed routes, a warning about fines, and a warning about the territorial aggression of nesting falcons.

I hadn’t considered this before or knew there was nesting on the tower but it makes sense. A great location.

Prior post

I have posted about the tower before. I was having trouble searching it and it turns out there is no apostrophe in the name. Another learning moment.
