A couple of other pix by the Arita photographer

Eagle hunting in Kyrgyzstan is an ancient tradition that was once suppressed but is now proudly preserved by the nomadic people. This was one of the many captures that we took during a photo session with our model at sunset. The colors in the background in the original shot compete with the cloths so I have decided to convert to black and white.

Although I have the bottom part of the image with the hunter feet, I prefer this crop to focus on the top part of the frame. Nikon 70-200 mm. Ignacio Palacios

  1. If you like this shot check out, “Hunting with Eagles, In the Realm of the Mongolian Kazakhs” by Palani Mohan. Published by Merrell. Outstanding book of black and white photos that does a great job capturing the heritage of this proud tradition.
