A Fall like Spring

 

During the pandemic I took a trip to Nyanga in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe for no reason but to enjoy the Msasa spectable. It happens every year between August and September. The Shonas call it pfumvunza – spring. These are some pictures I took on that trip – mostly from Juliasdale and the Nyanga National Park. Vumba also flares up like this each year, as with many other parts of the Mashonaland and Midlands provinces of the country. Musa Kika
This is news to me. Maybe Steve knows of it since he it was there once I think.
The colors are about done here now. It was astounding how they looked last Monday, the 21st, in clear sun and 60-70 degree temps. Perfect fall weather than is gone too soon.
