Snowpack update for the Western US.
Blue is well above normal, green and yellow are near to below normal, and red is well below normal.
An early look at the potential for this year’s monsoon. Long-range prognostication issued 3/20/25 by the climate prediction center shows a 30-50% chance of above normal precipitation for July-August_September. Let’s hope it plays out!

Here’s how the #snowpack looks out west. Utah will continue to melt some snow through Thursday with mountain temps in the 50s and 60s. A cooler and wetter pattern will then setup and I expect our snowpack to climb back up again into early April. Chase Thomason March 26, 2025
