Buckethead

It was another sleepless night and I was down the music rabbit hole again. The algorithm listed something called Buckethead. Buckethead??!!
I looked and it was some guy doing a guitar solo with a KFC bucket on his head. OK, that is different! I struggled to remember if I had heard of him and just ignored him due to what looked like a stupid gimmick by a wannabe. Hearing him play changed my tune and I looked further. The background was bizarre to say the least. He wears the bucket on stage and a mask all the time in public. He talks to people with a sock puppet and seems a mysterious recluse but is a guitar god with few equals. It finally dawned on me that he is likely an autistic savant. He has fear issues and that meshes with my bucket, mask, autism theory. There are a ton of videos by him and about him so I couldn’t look at them all and there is likely a lot more to discover. I love these kinds of stories about unconventional genius.
His playing can be sublime. The Thrill is Gone video was taken with a phone, or whatever, at a wedding so the sound quality is bad but you can hear incredible musicianship and soul in his playing.
Was this a frickin wedding?!? The Thrill is Gone? This guy works on another level.

For the love of God, Buckethead, please put this on a CD with great sound. I’ll buy 10 copies in case I lose the first 9.
