Not snow…HAIL! This is Tuesday morning…12 hours after the storm in Shepherd, MT dropped enough hail to measure 6 to 8 inches in depth in some places with up to 1.5″ hail measured. The 70+ mph wind-driven hail made a shambles of nearly everything in it’s path. The trees (that are still standing) are stripped of their leaves, and the fog makes it even more ominous. It gives an idea why they were so worried about it in AB. I remember the flight I had in the hail clouds there.
I have seen several dramatic hail videos this spring. Some were fairly near Steve.
