Point Nemo, the Most Remote Place on Earth

The side of the Earth you rarely see is the center of the Pacific Ocean, a remote and ocean-dominated region. This location is often referred to as “Point Nemo” or the “Pole of Inaccessibility,” as it is the furthest point on Earth from any landmass. From this perspective, the Earth appears as a vast expanse of blue water, with little land visible. A Solo Traveler
I spent time at sea for work where there was nothing to see but water and sky but I still had little conception of the scale of it. People ignore the oceans but we mess with them at our peril. They are the great climate and water regulator. Ther are alredy some disturbing signs we have hurt them. The water is warming and acidifying fast plus we dump countless toxins in it. The bottle in the deep is just a metaphor for the microplastics, chemicals and radioactivity in it top to bottom. Plastic bags and microplastic are in the deepest parts already.
I just heard about Point Nemo in the last year or two. The article is very interesting.
