According to the Arizona Game and Fish Department, a wildlife crossing on State Route 260 reduced elk collision by about 85-97% with more than 10,000 documented animal crossings. Another crossing on U.S. Highway 93, also in Arizona, hasn’t seen a wildlife collision since 2014. source
Not cheap but they work and are needed for safety and wildlife.
