Slow Horses, Again.

Reviews for Clown Town (the ninth installment of Mick Herron’s Slough House espionage series) are generally very positive. Critics and readers praise the signature cynical wit, sharp dialogue, and dark humor. However, some reviews note that the pacing feels slow until a dramatic climax, and the series’ familiar formulas are starting to show their age.  An AI review.

I can’t believe that was 3 years ago.

Slow Horses and the Dark Psychology of an Unwinnable Game

I mentioned Slough House\Slow Horses before and that they were great books.
I didn’t keep up with them after that but somehow was reminded the other day.
I saw there was a new book out. I had a hard time remembering how many of the other books I had read or listened to. I was surprised it was all but this one. I got it out of the library and read it in a couple of nights.
A fun read.

I also noticed that the show had a lot more on Youtube than when I posted before. A lot more. The show has become a huge hit. I looked at many of those and wondered how closely they followed the books. A recap of a well received season above.
The first four seasons are finally on DVD and I was surprised they were in the libarary system. A 50 person long waiting list however. I need to check them out.
