I was going to include this with a prior post but decided to use it as an update.
It is peak early run salmon fishing. This Grand Cascapedia salmon is the essence of what salmon fishing is. A large, but not record, sexually immature fish with high condition factor.
This year seems to be the best year in 10 years, or more. The fish are better fed and the rivers are in good shape after 2 years of La Nina rains.

Also notable, is how he is holding the fish. His hand is depressing the organs on the fish and inducing unnecessary stress and damage. In Washington state, it is illegal to remove a steelhead from the water. I am surprised the guides allow this on the salmon rivers.
