I like the first track. An otherworldly Buckethead piece. It is weird and unconventional but it gave me a lot of impressions on different listens. It has a bluesy vibe but the repeated riff makes me think of gravitational waves and all sorts of things. It is mildly creepy and I think Lovecraft would love it.
A lot of the Pikes are for enthusiasts but some are more accessible than others. Reading the video comments is eye opening. Many credit Buckethead’s work with bringing them out of depression, grief and other maladies, even saving their lives. Whatever the truth, his music brings something to people that is uncommon.
Buckethead Pike Album Reviews by Natternet
I found this list of reviews which strangely doesn’t have some of the most popular on youtube by view count. A place to start at least.
Searching on the word awesome will find the ones he thinks are best. His opinion may differ from some but a clue.
He has the same ones reviewed on video as well.
He likes this one.
Another really good one
5 million likes. One of the popular ones I like. I think this was one of the first ones I listened to. I was half awake and it kept me from falling asleep. It was so good and different. You may want to try it under a similar scenario.
