Frome pronounced as I was using it.
When I read Haig-Brown’s, A River Never Sleeps*, I was taken with his descriptions of fishing giant salmon in the River Frome when he was young. I always wondered how it was pronounced but when I saw this I was really surprised it was nothing like I imagined. I stand corrected. It only took decades.
Nowadays, you find out easy enough, if you take the time.
