If Mother Nature had a Christmas Tree…..
It would be this. A tree past its prime. Holding on for a few last breaths. Full of little cones that are full of little seeds that will scatter across the landscape when the time comes. But for now, it will provide a resting post for tired birds that flew 100’s even 1000’s of miles, from the far north. These Boho Waxwings don’t seem to care that the tree has lost its green, youthful glow. As a matter of fact, the rusty needles matched perfectly with rusty crowns of each bird. And I found that to be breathtakingly beautiful. So, if Mother Nature could design the perfect Christmas Tree, I think it would look like this. Cub Creek Photography
