Selected Salmonids

The kokanee salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka). The non-anadromous form of the sockeye salmon or as some would say landlocked. A fish you seldom hear about. Most are under 12  inches but these are  2 and 3 pounds. They are supposed to be superior eating. James Summers

Sea run Cutthroat from BC. of the sea run salmonids this may be the prettiest. That is saying something with the competition from sea run brook trout.

Another sea run. This one is a brook trout like I wish I caught. I remember some 19-20 inches in Gaspe but I saw them to 24 I am guessing. I still have clear images of them in my head.

A sea run brook trout, see the sea louse on the cheek!

Another showing the saltwater silver I craved as a kid.
