The Devil’s Gorge: Mapping No Man’s Land in the Himalayas

The Devil’s Gorge: Mapping No Man’s Land in the Himalayas

This is some extreme and incredible terrain.

I am impressed with the scale of this gorge. It is the king of slot canyons and a dangerous looking place. There were some serious logistics to getting in there and no doubt some serious money was spent. It all could have gone very wrong very easily so those guys had serious guts to go in there. I wonder if they scouted with drones first. It is a perfect place for their use and the risks of going in there blind are not trivial.
As interesting as the gorge are the pinnacles that look like another world.
As impressive as this is, what is under the ocean is likely even more dramatic. There are gigantic transverse faults on the mid Atlantic ridge that are supposed to be enormous. With 3\4 of the world under water, we sure haven’t seen it all yet.
The video seems to have gaps in it.
It has a history.
