  1. Definitional blur.

Linguistically the names refer simply to the Arabic- Turkic east west divide. "Tribally" or regionally, they are Kazakh (Riss) and (Tavi), Kaz X Russian, I think Petrograd.

Which makes them "definitionally" tazis, and BY ALL SANE STANDARDS (which mean nothing) COO salukis as well.

Set "saluki"– arguably not the best term, as narrowly Arabic, but in use earlier in our culture– should because of that hisory embrace set "tazi".

OR: all tazis are salukis. Not all salukis are tazis…

  2. Riss & Tavi are very beautiful, and appreciate one another as well. Are they from the same household? And who shares their house with them … I had not thought to think Tazi or Coo Saluki … I need to look again.

    BDL

  3. Scottie, Tavi is Nazgul's brother from another litter.

Saluki, Tazi, local names, local morphology, variations on a theme.

No matter the singer, the *song* remains the same.
